Duration: 8 1/2 minutes
This setting of the 15th century tune Veni Emmanuel, (O Come, O Come, Emmanuel) is designed to be a dramatic procesional to open a Christmas program. Although composed to be performed by choir (or multiple choirs) with orchestral or concert band accompaniment, it can be performed with piano accompaniment alone. Additional percussion may be added by using the orchestral or band percussion parts. Another enhancement to a choir/piano performance would be the addition of harp (or MIDI keyboard with a realistic harp sound), using the band or orchestral harp part.
It also supports the use of multiple choirs for institutions with large choral programs.
Verse 1: Unison men (can be sung by the men's choir) |
